Storing & Accessing Money - By Lance68

Hello NNGO, we wanted to do a weekly FAQ of sorts to explain some of the game concepts more in depth, as well as give out some tips and tricks that you may or may not know. We’ll also archive all of these on our IG forum.
This week I wanted to talk about ways to store and access your wealth that are not through the faction vault. We are a bit of a unique faction in that we have 12 treasury officers, most factions only have 2, the faction leader and co-leader. Still, even with that many people, I know it’s sometimes hard to get in touch with a treasury officer and to access your money when you need it. Below are a few ways for keeping your money on you without getting mugged.

Ghost Trading - This method involves starting a trade with someone you trust. You want to keep this trade open, don’t approve or confirm it. Once the trade is open you are able to put money into the trade and it is completely safe from mugging. You can withdraw and deposit money from the trade in the same way you do from the faction vault. This does have some downsides though, trades only last for 6 hours before automatically cancelling and sending the money back to you. So you want to make sure you’re around when that happens, or cancel it on your own and restart it ahead of time. Secondly, you do need to make sure it is someone you can trust, because they could easily accept the trade and make off with your money. You can feel free to use any of the faction leaders for these kinds of trades.

Points/Items - Another method is to store your money in easily sellable items (such as xanax) and points. You can sell these off as you need cash and will usually sell them quickly. There is always the risk of you losing a bit of money if prices drop from when you bought to when you sell as well as the risk of getting mugged if you are selling many millions worth of either.

Stock Market - You can also use your cash to buy stocks and then sell them off. This is slightly less convenient then Ghost Trading, but is less risky. Stocks do tend to sell relatively quickly, within a couple hours in my experience and the payouts are held safely at the bank for you to retrieve for 24 hours before being automatically sent to you. So if you know you’ll need money to buy xanax in a few hours, selling stock ahead of time so you have the cash handy could be a good option. An additional tip on this, if you have a computer on you when you travel you can access the stock market while flying by using the following link. It’s good for if you’re selling a lot of items when traveling so you do not get mugged when you land: https://www.torn.com/pc.php
Cayman Islands Bank - There is an offshore bank in the Cayman Islands once you are level 15. You can deposit and withdraw money freely from this bank and can earn interest on deposits you leave in there for over 30 days. There is risk involved as a lot of muggers know people go there to deposit money, so there is a very good chance of getting mugged if you are not very quick.

Personal Vaults - If you own a Palace, Castle, or Private Island you can buy your own vaults for these properties and can store up to $100mil in them. Note you have to own the property, this does not work if you are renting.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask :).

Post Level 15 Guide - By Sparks42069

This guide is for people who have just hit level 15 in recent weeks.
What is so special about level 15? Once you hit level 15 you have now unlocked the travel agent which allows you to fly overseas and import plushies/flowers from abroad. However there is a limit to how many items you can import back per trip. Here is how its determined:

  • Default: 5 items
  • Current Faction perk: +5 items
  • Private Island WITH AIRSTRIP: +10 items
  • Small/Medium/Large suitcase: +2/+3/+4 items .Note: Suitcases do not stack so having multiple suitcases will not increase your carrying capacity.

Renting a Private Island:
Your aim should be to maximize your travel capacity as much as possible. Initially with the default capacity and faction perks you will only have a carrying capacity of 10. So renting a Private Island(henceforth: PI) is the next step to take to hugely increase your profits from flying. In additon to +10 items capacity bonus it also reduces your flight times by a good margin compared to standard flights. In the same way as you rent other properties, you can similarly rent a Private Island from the rental section of estate agent. It is also advised that you marry someone active with whom you can take turns in renting a PI to even further optimize your costs. Here are a few points to note while renting a PI:

  • VERY VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure while renting that it comes equipped with an airstrip. Click on the info tab of the listing and look for the logo of a plane.
  • COST: While at first glance renting a PI might look expensive in reality it isn’t so much because the profits you turn in each day because of the benefits of the PI will be roughly 3-4x of the daily average cost if you fly judiciously. Also do not forget to search for good cheap rentals deals which are sometimes lurking in pages other than the front page. A good deal for a PI rental would be something like 500-600k per day.
  • Also to note: Apart from the usual travel associated benefits from a PI, it also comes with a high base happiness of 3000+ usually which is really useful for your gym gains.
  • ONCE YOU HAVE RENTED YOUR PI: Move into it and go to “Customize your property”. There you can hire/fire various staff. The staff provide added happiness to your base happy. However out of all the staff it is essential that you hire the Pilot or else you won’t be able to use the benefits of the airstrip in your PI. The others you can use as per your personal choices.

Once you have your PI all set up. You can now import 5+5+10 = 20 items from abroad. Here is a rough estimate of how much money you will make each day. You shall notice that the travel items to each destination is different so the prices of the special plushies/flowers you import from abroad varies as per the destination. So it does not matter where you choose to fly, as long as you are efficient with your flying, the money made from different destinations is more or less the same. You can pick multiple short flights every day or just 2-3 long flights, it is up to you which suits you well. For an example I shall use UAE (because of its simple math) to calculate how much you can make from flying.

  • The flight time to UAE is 6 (3+3) hours. (With a PI+airstrip. Times are more for standard flights if you don’t have a rented PI).
  • Buying cost of camel plushies in UAE=$14000 each
  • Selling price in Torn = 91000 (it varies depending on market but 91k is a fair estimate)
  • *So profit from the trip= (91000-14000)travelling capacity<assuming 20 here>=$1,540,000
  • Considering you make 2 trips to UAE everyday, you can easily earn 3 million which more than pays for your rent+upkeep on a daily basis.

Note: It is probably the case that just after you hit level 15 you may not be having a lot of money, so initially you can rent a PI for only 7 days to build up your bank balance and then move on to renting for longer periods such as 30 days and so on. Incase you don’t have enough money to rent for 7 days either and haven’t found a spouse who already has a PI then you can also either sell defends to other players (defends are when people pay you 250k roughly for you to attack them and lose) or you can fly without a PI for a few days and once you’ve saved some money then rent one.
BATTLE STATS:
Battle stats form a crucial part of your game. It is important that you have good battle stats so that you aren’t a pushover for other players. Now since you will start making more money once you start flying, it is also time to improve your methods of training your stats so that you gain battle stats quicker. A big point to note is that money/income in the game is essentially to supplement your training methods after all.
Here are some links to Gym Training Guides:
Small & Medium Choco Jumps

Cooldowns & Happy Jumps
Additionally you can also use Hall of Fame for a reference as to how you compare to others of your level. It is always good to keep your Battle Stats rank better than your Level Rank which would mean you are stronger compared to others of your level and use those ranks to decide on whether to level up or hold based on how your battle stats are.

Those are the basics of what to do once you reach level 15. You will also start forming your own ideas of how to make more money with experience as your grow in the game as you explore the game more. The options are unlimited, flying is only the easiest way to make money!
As always for any questions, feel free to ask . Do not be shy to use the faction chat either as we have a lot of friendly people who will help.

Chains - By Sparks42069

What are chains?

Chains are nothing but the whole faction making a string of attacks such that, there is a successful attack from the faction at a minimum of every 5 minutes.

A chain is initially started with 10 attacks in the space of 5 minutes after which it is sustained by a minimum of 1 attack every 5 minutes. The chain counter and timer is visible on the left pane, just underneath your life bar. In simple terms, if a chain is active: the bar will indicate such alongwith a countdown timer within which the next attack has to be made or else the chain breaks.
Maximizing chain length: To make the chain as long as possible, everyone stacks 1000 energy for the chain using xanax. [See the guide for stacking energy]
Benefits of chains?

  • Respect: Higher chains give more respect to the faction , respect allows us to unlock various perks (for eg, the +7 travel items and more). Chaining also gives a lot of EXP needed to level up.
  • Merits: Chains are great for merits, there are 3 merits which are obtained from chain bonus hits. (10/25/100) , (250,500,1000) and (2500). For first timers there are also participation merits.

Pattern of chains?

  • We chain every alternate Fridays and start at 15:00 TCT (aka UTC). We do efficient speedrun chains of 12-14 hours to hit the 2500 mark as quickly possible so that everyone can resume their normal flying patterns after that. No need to stretch the timer .

Some guidelines for chaining:
Bonus hits upto 1000: Hit nos- 25,50,100,250,500,1000 and 2500 are bonus hits. When you see the chain within 15 of the next bonus hit, please hop into in-game faction chat (the chat logo with the fist) and call out your hits. This is so that everyone has a fair go at getting the bonus hits and that if someone is supposed to get a bonus, it doesn’t get sniped by someone else.
Bonus hit 2500: This is a merit which is in the rare category. So the leaders award this hit to someone who is deemed deserving. (Eg. like longstanding loyal members who are regularly active and looking after the faction, or exceptional contributions) The decision is made known in the faction chat by the time chain reaches 2450 so given the rarity of the merit, it is extra important that it doesn’t get sniped and the deserving person misses out on it. Sniping hits (and especially the 2500th hit) can lead to serious consequences if deemed deliberate. The last person who did that deliberately was immediately removed from the faction with a lot of bounties placed on them.

Hitting allies with bonus hits: Please do not hit our neighbors or any known allies with bonus hits as they deduct a large chunk of respect from the other faction. Additionally if you are hitting an enemy with a bonus hit, make sure to stealth and avoid yourself some drama.

Leveling to 15 - By Sparks42069

This guide is aimed specifically at players who are below level 15 currently.

The first objective for players is to reach level 15. That is because at level 15 you unlock the ability to fly overseas which is now the bulk of the money is made in the game. More on that later.
Hence it is also a recommended that if you’re below level 15 then do try to read through all of this and thanks for your patience.

How to level up to 15 quickly:

  • The fastest way to gain levels is attack people and leave them on street. Leaving people on street gives you the most respect per hit which in turn helps you gain levels quicker. Check out the thread: here. It contains a list of high level targets who have low stats (their stats are posted alongside so you know which ones you can defeat) so they give a lot of respect on being attacked successfully.
  • To be able to beat them you must have comparable stats to theirs. If your stats are too low compared to them then I recommend training your stats in the gym first till you can compete with those targets.

How to gain stats for defeating people on the leveling list:

  • Your battlestats are an integral part of the game. In a fight against another player your stats determine the winner. So like I said before, to defeat the people on the levelling list above you must first have stats comparable to theirs. Hence initially it is essential to train your stats at the gym.
  • Firstly, lets understand how gym gains work. How many stats you get by training at the gym depends on 2 things, your happiness bar and how much energy you spend. Your base happiness is dependent on the property you live in, by default the game gives you a shack (which kinda sucks) with a base happiness of 100. So the first step would be getting a better property. Since you probably won’t have enough money to buy one it is advised to RENT a better property for 7 days at a time (like: a villa) You can do it by visiting the estate agent in City and going to the rental section. For an example, renting a villa shouldn’t cost more than 2k each day. Note: After renting do not forget to move into it!
  • Now that you have a property which gives you good base happiness your gym gains will be significantly higher. However you can also maximize your gym gains even more by using candy to temporarily boost happiness just before you train. Since it will become too long to include it in this letter I shall point you to a guide to Small Happy Jumps for newbies.. Below level 15, you can easily afford to do a Tier 1 jump as written in the guide. The faction also provides the candy such as big box of chocolate bars which you can use for your gym trains from here.

Making Money:
In all honesty there isn’t a lot of money to be made before you get to level 15 in the game. But you can still make an average of 50k roughly every day easily. Here is how:

  • *In the city, visit the Bits and Bobs store. There you can buy cheap beer or teddy/sheep/kitten plushies (each costs around 10$-30$) and then resell them in item market or to traders at around 50x of what you bought them for. The exact price you fetch varies depending on the trader/current market prices. The only limitation is that you can only buy a maximum of 100 items everyday from Torn City’s shops. To give you an example, beer from Bits and Bobs costs only 10$ each but their value in item market is 700$ roughly. So you can effectively make (700-10)100=69000$ daily until you hit level 15. Same goes for kitten/camel/sheep plushies too. We also have people within the faction who buy these. Jhanrae and myself (Sparks42069) are among the many few within the faction who buy beer/plushies and pay a fair price for it, so there’s no risk of being scammed by someone unreliable.
  • Do not worry if none of the items are available at the shop, they are restocked periodically. Keep checking in there.

That is all I have to say in this letter now, To summarize the above points here’s a TLDR version:

  • buy the max of 100 cheap beer/plushies from Bits & Bobs, then sell them in item market or to reliable traders. Do not worry if none of the items are available at the shop, they are restocked periodically. aka make $50k+ each day
  • rent a property such as a villa (costs around $1k per day or whereabouts)
  • build your stats enough using candy so that you can beat people in the levelling list posted above.
  • Once you have enough stats, keep using your energy regenerated throughout the day to attack the levelling targets and LEAVE THEM ON STREET.

Good luck guys! And hopefully you reach level 15 without any hitches. (Maybe even compete against your fellow new players to see who gets to level 15 faster.)

For any questions, message any faction officer. You can always ask questions in faction chat too. We have helpful players online at all times who will happily respond

Basic Torn Advice - By Baldr

Original Link

This is basic Torn advice that everyone needs to know. Many things in Torn are not intuitive, so I’m trying to get you moving in the right direction.

Reaching level 15 is very important. Level 15 allows you to travel, and when you can travel, it becomes much, much easier to make money. Most people reach level 15, and then start running flowers and plushies. You fly to another country, buy flowers or plushies, and fly home. Then you sell those flowers or plushies to another player. There is a very big market, lots of people want to buy them, and you’ll get a very nice profit for it. You can easily make $3M a day or more doing this, more if you are very active. Some make $5M-$6M profit a day doing this.

To reach level 15, you need to train your gym stats a bit. Hopefully you’ve been doing some of that, but you may need to do more. (And long term, even the people who have played for years still use most of their energy to train their stats.)

Once your stats are high enough, there are some targets known as “leveling targets” that you can attack. These are people (inactive now) who have fairly low stats for their level. They are easy to beat in a fight. You attack them, then leave them in the street. That gives you the best experience gains and lets you level up fairly quickly. I have a list of leveling targets in the next msg of this thread.

Once you can easily win against the leveling targets, you should use all or almost all of your e (energy) attacking them and leaving them in the street, until you reach level 15. If you can’t beat them easily (ie, if you lose or if you win but take a lot of damage) then you should train more then try again in a few days. Once you reach level 15, level isn’t important any more, and you should go back to gym training with your e. Level always helps, but you don’t need to actively work on leveling up past level 15, just let it come naturally, and put your energy into training in the gym.

Happiness plays a big part in gym gains, especially when you are small. That’s why the shack isn’t a good place to live. Low happy means low gym gains. I usually recommend renting a mansion or a ranch until you reach level 15. Don’t buy a property, and don’t rent long term. 30 days is about right.

Once you reach level 15, you can easily afford to rent a PI (Private Island) and there are several good reasons to do so. Almost everyone rents a PI when they reach level 15, and some who can afford it start renting one sooner. That’s why you don’t want to buy a cheaper property and you don’t want to rent a mansion or whatever for long term if you can help it. PI’s with 3600 happy are usually the sweet spot, where you get the most for your money, and they usually rent for roughly $12M for 30 days.

But as a brand new player, you probably can’t afford to rent a PI, so often a mansion is the best choice you can afford. At a minimum, rent a penthouse with 925 happy. Don’t bother with anything with lower happy than that.

When you first move into your mansion, your happy won’t change. It will gradually go up to the max happy the mansion gives you, but it takes a long time. You can buy lollipops at Sally’s Sweet Shop, in City, East Side.) Using lollipops will raise your happy. Use them to reach the max happy for your mansion, then stop. If you’ve moved into a Private Island, then using lollipops won’t get you to the max happy right away. You could consider using an ecstasy, which costs around $70,000. Using one will double your happy.

Your “max” happy isn’t really a max. You can go over, even way over, for a short period of time. If you are over your normal max, then Happy resets to that max every 15 minutes. xx:00, xx:15, xx:30, xx:45. Any hour, every 15 minutes, it resets.

You can use lollipops to raise happy above normal, and then use an ecstasy to double your happy. That gets your happy much higher than normal. Then you use the gym train your e and get much bigger gains than normal. On the next 15 minute mark, happy will reset, but you can train the e away first.

Once you can afford it, you can do a much more extreme version of that, called a Happy Jump. Those are expensive and take two days to complete, but they give very large gains. I’ll explain those in another post further down.

It’s hard to make big money until you are level 15 , but you can make smaller amounts of money by going to City, East Side, and shopping at Bits N Bobs or Sweet Shop. Lollipops resell at a high markup. In Bits N Bobs, beer, or any of the basic plushies, will also resell at decent profit. You can buy 100 items a day in the Torn City shops, and reselling those items should make you around 50k to 60k a day in profit. Trading can be profitable, and can be done before level 15, but it takes money to make money, so unless you already have a fair amount of money, it’s hard to make much profit. And when you are small and new, you are easy to mug, which makes profitable trading harder. Trading can also be very time consuming, so it may not work for everyone. There is a sub-section of my guide specifically about making money.

You will get mugged. Everyone gets mugged. Learning to protect your money from muggers is important. There isn’t a perfect solution to that. Vaults are great, but very, very expensive. Ghost trades work well - but they have a six hour limit. Some people store money in faction vaults, but there is some risk, and you usually don’t have immediate access to get your money back. Some buy items or points, and store there money in those, reselling them when they need cash. Most people will probably need to use a combination of several methods to store money, at least until they can afford to buy a Private Island with a vault, and quite likely after that, too. I have a post in my guide about storing money.

When you first reach level 15 you’re almost ready to start making good money, and you can stop actively trying to level up. Beyond level 15, levels help some, giving you some merit points at certain spots and extra life for each level. But from here on, you should level up naturally and not spend your energy actively trying to level up. Spend your energy training in the gym. Once you can travel, combat stats are much more important than level.

Rent a Private Island as soon as you are level 15 (if you haven’t done it before.) You need a PI with a landing strip and a pilot to travel efficiently. A PI speeds travel by 30%, and allows you to carry an extra +10 items. Those extra items mean more profit on each trip, so the extra profit you can make is more than the cost to rent a PI. The higher happy will also help with your gym training. There are PI’s with higher happy, but if you’re just getting going, a 3600 happy PI is usually the best deal, the best cost/benefit ratio. Any PI will work, as long as it has a landing strip. To rent, visit City, Estate Agent and then click on Rental Market. Once you can afford it, add a large suitcase to carry an additional +4 items, but the PI should come first as it will have a larger impact.

Put your merit points into education time reduction first, until that is maxed. Then into banking interest rates until it’s maxed.

For education classes , finish any class you are already doing, but then start working on Sports Science courses, and take all of those. Those are highly recommended as the first place to get a bachelors degree.

Some people recommend taking the Introduction to Biochemistry and Intravenous Therapy classes first, because the two of those will give you access to blood bags, which have several advantages. I prefer Sports Science classes first, but I think it’s a close call.
If you simply want to read lots of advice on various subjects, the game forums tutorials section has tons of information. This post is a list of various guides/tutorials sorted by category, which may help.

Missions : When you first start, Torn will encourage you do do missions. And the first missions you are given are designed specifically for new players, to help you learn the game. Basic things like buy and equip a weapon, attack a specific (very easy to beat) target, explore the city, and begin doing crimes. It’s useful, and helps you get a feel for the game and learn the basics. However, you may want to wait on those missions. Many of them give additional energy when you complete them, and if you hold off on the missions, you can rent a property where you will have better housing, which gives higher happy. And if you train in the gym with higher happy, you get bigger gains. So you may want to wait before accepting the missions, to get a small additional gain from the energy that’s given as rewards for these missions. It’s entirely your choice, and not a big difference. You can find details on the new player missions here. Once you’ve completed the new player missions, you will be able to move on to the more “normal” missions. Long term, those let you buy weapon mods and special books, which you can’t get any other way. But missions can often use a lot of energy, and shouldn’t be considered high priority, especially for newer players. Training is more important. Personally, I tend to do most of the missions I’m given, but there are certain ones that I just skip because I know they tend to waste a lot of energy.

The next few posts in this thread have more advice, on specific subjects.

Good luck.

Mug Protection - By Proxima

Original Link

Here is a sheet to help you!

Mugging 2.0

Mugging
Mugging is now a (sort of) “Flat Rate” - this means that the percentage of someones cash in hand that you mug is not dependent on the amount they are holding. You will steal a “base” percentage which is then modified in two ways; with merit upgrades you can increase the amount by up to 50% (5% per upgrade) and an RNG / Multi-Dice Roll will increase the amount you roll by up to 100% (with lower bonuses statistically favourable).

Without any merits With all merits (+50%)
5.0% - 10.0% 7.5% - 15.0%

With full merits, a mug of between 8-11% here would be most common according to Chedburn.

Percentages will be rounded to 2 decimal places.

Protection
Mug protection as you typically know it does not exist any longer. The idea behind mug protection was always to stop an offline user mercilessly being revive-mugged and losing 100% of their cash on hand after sales, faction handouts, etc, rather than to allow active users to walk around the city with silly amounts of money on hand at zero risk.

If you are mugged, whatever remains in your wallet will now be “protected”. Over the course of the next 12 hours this protection will decrease linearly to $0. If you interact with the remaining money in your wallet, by which I mean you reduce the amount in your wallet below your currently protected amount , your mug protection will be reset to this amount (along with the 12 hour timer). Any subsequent mugs will also fully reset your mug protection to the amount left on hand. Below I will outline some scenarios to help understand exactly what is being said. For simplicity I will assume every mug is 10%, and events occur immediately unless explicitly stated.
Scenario 1

  1. You are holding $100m and get mugged. You now have $90m remaining and thus $90m protection in this instant.
  2. After 6 hours, you have $45m protection. If you are still holding $90m, $45m of this will be unprotected.

Scenario 2

  1. You are holding $100m and get mugged by a friend, who sends the $10m back.
  2. You are holding $100m and because you have $90m protection, $10m is unprotected.
3.* This is the sort of thing you can look to do if banking large sums of cash in Caymans. While “full protection” is not possible you can limit potential losses. **

Scenario 3

  1. You are holding $100m and get mugged by a friend, who sends the $10m back.
  2. You decide to bank (deposit in vault, trade, company, faction, purchase items/stock etc) all $100m and then withdraw it again.
  3. You are holding $100m and have $0 protection because you reduced the amount of money in your wallet to $0. Someone may now mug you again and receive the full amount possible.
4.* This is the sort of thing that worked under the previous system, but can no longer be done. **

Scenario 4

  1. You are buy-mugged. A player buys $500m worth of items and then mugs you, leaving you with $450m on hand and thus $450m protection.
  2. You bank the remaining $450m but do not close your bazaar. Another player buys $450m worth of items and mugs you. They receive a full mug of $45m because you have $0 protection .

Scenario 5

  1. You are buy-mugged. A player buys $500m worth of items and then mugs you, leaving you with $450m on hand and $450m protection.
  2. Another player then buys $450m worth of items, and just before they are able to mug you you bank $450m. The mugger receives $0, as you still have $450m worth of protection.

6 days of Choco Jumping = 13,650 GAINZ (1,543 MORE than a Happy Jump)! ( $14.1M)
7 days of Choco Jumping = 15,925 GAINZ (3,818 MORE THAN HAPPY JUMP)! ($16.5M)
Happy Jump Gains/Cost: 12,107 ($25M - $27M) EDIT: You’ll notice this is lower than what the spreadsheet showed in the image. This is because I mistakenly put 1300 energy instead of 1150 energy. Thanks to Sweetiest for pointing it out!
E-DVDs are not dead though. You save so much from the Choco Jump, that if you are someone who can afford the Happy Jump, you could easily add an E-DVD to your Choco Jumps once or twice a week. Respective to my stats, adding 1 E-DVD adds ~500 gains. So if you did it twice/week (which is still in Happy Jump price range), you’d gain an extra 1,000/week. Obviously this number would go up more as you unlock better gyms and such and if you’re in a Adult Novelty Store company that has enough stars to double E-DVD happy gains.
As you can see, the Choco Jump (as far as I can tell), is the best bang for your buck when it comes to training. It also has a much higher success rate than the Happy Jump since you only have to consume 2 drugs (Xan and Ecstasy vs 4 Xans and 1 Ecstasy) meaning less ODs and not as much rehab. You have to do it 6-7 days out of the week to compare to the Happy Jump, but even if you can’t afford that, and only do it a few days out of the week, you’ll still be getting half of a Happy Jump/week which as a new player is GRRREAT! I’m still a new player myself, (playing for a little over a month now), so I could have made some mistakes so if you notice any, please let me know. If this works out for you, also please let me know! I hope you all found this helpful and can go on ahead to start doing Choco Jumps!
BONUS METHOD (2x/Day Choco Jump): Expert Level - Half Choco Method

  • Do Choco Method except only take 22-24 Big Boxes of Chocolate MAX (I recommend 22 for more flexibility)
  • Since you only have a 11-12 hour Booster Cooldown, you can do this method twice/day if you time it right.

Cost: $22.87M ($4.1M less than HJ)
Gainz: 23.5k - 23.8k (1.97x NEARLY 2X HJ FOR PRICE LESS THAN 1X HJ)

Cooldowns & Happy Jumps - By Sparks42069

Once you have crossed level 15 , Happy jumps are the best way to gain battle-stats until you have around 300k in each stat. For a beginner the process of doing a happy jump can seem complicated, hence this is a universal guide aimed at teaching you how to properly do a happy jump. Before we start there are a few things you need to know.
Cooldowns: There are 3 kinds of cooldowns. For a happy jump, only two are important. Booster cooldown and Drug cooldown.

#1 Drug Cooldown :
Whenever you consume a drug, you get something called a drug cooldown. Until you have no drug cooldown left you cannot use another drug. For happy jumps the drugs we’ll be dealing with are xanax and ecstasy. Xanax has a cooldown of 6-7 hours. Ecstasy has a cooldown of roughly 3 hours. The drug cooldown icon looks like this. Absence of this icon means you have NO drug cooldown and can use a drug :

#2 Booster Cooldown :
Boosters are used to increase your happiness above normal. The booster cooldown is used on consumption of a booster item like any kind of happiness boosters like candy, Erotic dvds and other misc items like Feathery Hotel Coupons (FHCs) and Lawyer Business Cards (LBC), The boosters we shall use for happy jumps are Truffle/Reindeer droppings and Erotic Dvds.
Using any booster will start giving you a booster cooldown, however unlike Drug cooldown - You can keep using boosters till it CROSSES a certain cap limit. By default that cap is 24 hours but we occasionally have faction perks which extend it to up to a maximum of 48 hours total. Once your booster cooldown is active you can see it in a icon like this. Absence of this icon means you have NO booster cooldown :
(Note: At the time, faction perk of +15 hours extended booster cooldown was active hence the cap was at 39:00:00 hours instead of the usual 24:00:00 hours)
Useful info on happy boosters used for happy jumps :- (Considering default cap of 24 hours with no extended booster cooldown active)
Chocolate Truffles/ Reindeer drops:
They provide 100 happiness and add 30 minutes to booster cooldown. So you can use 49 of them at a time.(48 to reach 24 hours and another last one to cross it). Can be bought from the candy section of item market.
Erotic Dvd:
It provides 2500 happiness and adds 6 hours to booster cooldown. So you can use 5 at a time. (4 to reach 24 hours and a 5th to cross it) Can be found in market under the Other Boosters section.

#3 Happy Reset Ticks:
Each hour there are 4 specific times when your happiness resets to normal if your current happiness has exceeded your base happy from the property you’re living in. These reset ticks occur at exactly at each 15 minute mark per hour at xx:00, 15,30,45. Before using your happy boosters you have to be absolutely sure you aren’t doing it too close to the next happy reset tick or else you won’t have enough time to finish your jump (for example at any time like XX:10,25,40,55 or later) . The best time to start is right after a fresh happy tick (for example xx:01,16,31,46) You can view the current game time by clicking on the clock icon at the top bar. It looks like this. The game follows GMT.

Doing the happy jump:

Step 1: Stacking 1000 energy (Items Required : 4 xanax)
You start stacking by using a xanax (It gives 250 energy with 6-7hours of drug cooldown). Once you do, it’ll give you a drug cooldown as mentioned earlier. Once the cooldown ends, use another xanax. Repeat till you have 1000 energy. The max energy limit by the game is 1000 so taking any xanax after that point will be wasted. Hence you need 4 xanax total. Also note that before you take your 4th xanax, make sure that your energy bar is at 750. If its more than that, then use the excess energy adequately before taking the 4th xanax.
Your energy bar will look like this.

Step 2: Wait for the drug cooldown after 4th xanax to get over.

Step 3: Check for No Booster Cooldown. If not at Zero (00:00:00) wait for Booster cooldown to be zero.

Step 4: The final steps [ Items Required: 49 total truffles/reindeer droppings (or combination of both) +ecstasy +25 points] Or [ 5 Erotic DvDs +ecstasy +25 points]
Once both your drug and booster cooldowns are at zero, you are now ready to do your happy jump. Make sure you have all the items required before you start doing your happy jump.
Wait for the nearest convenient Happy Reset Tick and then you can start doing your jump. The final steps are :-

  • Use all the 49 truffles/reindeer drops OR the 5 erotic dvds

  • Use the ecstasy (Drug which doubles your happiness)

  • Train all your energy in the gym.

  • Go to Points building and use an energy refill for 25 points

  • Train that energy.

As you will observe, you will gain a lot of stats in the gym by doing happy jumps. And this is the best and most effective way to gain stats until you cross 300k in each stat OR if you’re working at a 10* AN then 600k in each stat.
Truffles/Reindeer Drops OR Erotic DvDs?
Price of Truffle Jumps:-

  • Truffles/Reindeer Drops x49: $130,000 x 49 = $6,370,000
  • Xanax x4: $834,000 x4= $3,336,000
  • Ecstasy x1 = $69,000 x1= $69,000
  • Total= $ 9,775,000

Price of Edvd Jumps:

  • Erotic Dvd x5: $4,000,000 x 5 = $ 20,000,000
  • Xanax x4: $834,000 x4 = $3,336,000
  • Ecstasy x1 = $69,000 x1= $69,000
  • Total = $23,405,000

If you don’t work at a 10* Adult Novelties, it has been found that the total stats gained from doing two truffle jumps is slightly better than one Edvd jump. You can also test it for yourself using the training estimator via the link below:
Training Estimator (Click here)

So it can be said that doing two truffle jumps is better than doing one dvd jump as it is also less costly. [ 2x $9,775,000 = $ 19,550,000 (-$4,000,000 than a edvd jump)

If you work at a 10* Adult Novelties, you get a passive bonus of double happiness from edvds which changes everything and makes Edvd jumps better than truffle jumps.

Tldr: Truffle jumps if you don’t work at a 10 Adult Novelties, Edvd jumps if you do.*

Affordability of Happy Jumps:
Once at level 15 , you can easily earn at least 4 million everyday from flying which means you can make at least 24 million from flying regularly on 6 days.

(Assuming we chain once a week ,which should still leave some time to fly a little on that day too)

Ideally that means you should look to do at least two truffle jumps per week Or if you’re at a 10* AN job, 3 edvd jumps every 11 days (because of 5 free edvds from the job meanwhile too)

In the end battle stats is what makes you stronger and the faction as a whole too, so it is an essential part of the game to have good stats.

If you are not familiar to the basics of flying, read on below:

In addition to +10 items capacity bonus it also reduces your flight times by a good margin compared to standard flights. In the same way as you rent other properties, you can similarly rent a Private Island from the rental section of estate agent .

  • *So profit from the trip= (91000-14000)travelling capacity<assuming 20 here>=$1,540,000
  • Considering you make 2 trips to UAE everyday, you can easily earn 3 million which more than pays for your rent+upkeep on a daily basis.

Quick Guide of “Safe” Crimes - By Anto_capone

These are crimes that have either very low chance of being jailed or no chance at all.

Remember, if you are jailed for your crimes (not faction organized crimes, they are treated differently), you will lose a substantial percentage of your total crime XP. Most people estimate it to be around 10-20%. Avoid doing crimes that can place you in jail (unless you are hunting merits but thats another story).

Nerve Cost - Crime - Notes
3 - Shoplifting at the clothes shop - low chance of being jailed (much less than any of the other shoplifts)
4 - Pickpocket the kid - no chance of ever being jailed
7 - Armed Thorough Robbery - low chance of being jailed
9 - Plant a Computer Virus [Stealth Virus] - You must buy 1 stealth virus off the market, and the chance of being successful is very low but failure will never lead to jail
10 - Assassination of a Mob Boss - Failure is hospitalization only
11 - Warehouse Arson - Failure is hospitalization only
12 - Grand Theft Auto - Steal a Parked Car ONLY
15 - Kidnapping the Mayor - if you fail it will cost you $75,000. If you do not have $75,000 on you then you will go to jail and lose crime xp so make sure you have the money on you.

Guide to Stealth Meter - By Andyman

Original Thread

“What are my chances of getting a stealth attack?” is a question I get hit with fairly frequently. When I respond with “there a little stealth meter on your attack screen…” it’s often met with shock and awe.
I’m curious as to how many players don’t know about this stealth meter. (It’s quite subtle, and a pain to view on mobile devices)

Here’s the announcement from 4 years ago outlining the variables involved in stealthing.
